Quality Inspection

INCOMING RAW MATERIAL INSPECTION

Verify material certificates from suppliers with over 30 years of experience, checking chemical composition and mechanical property data.
Visually inspect steel surfaces for defects; measure thickness/width with calipers, controlling deviation within ±5mm.
Sample test mechanical properties (hardness HRC55 – 60, tensile strength ≥800MPa) and chemical composition.
Qualified materials are logged into the laser traceability system; unqualified products are isolated and returned to suppliers.

FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTION AFTER PROCESSING

Confirm consistency of equipment parameters, processing paths, and drawings for the first processed piece.
Use coordinate measuring machine to check cavity/edge precision (±02mm); control angle tolerance (±0.1°) with angle meter.
Test key surfaces with roughness tester (Ra≤8μm); reprocess with adjusted parameters if unqualified.

IN-PROCESS ROUTINE INSPECTION

Sample 3 – 5 pieces hourly from all processing stages (rough/semi-finish/finish machining).
Recheck critical dimensions with micrometers and dial gauges; stop for debugging if deviation exceeds ±01mm.
Inspect laser marking clarity and process parameters like sandblasting pressure (0.4 – 0.6MPa).

INSPECTION AFTER HEAT TREATMENT

Multi-point testing is performed using a Rockwell hardness tester. The hardness requirement for ordinary molds is HRC 48-52, while the hardness requirement for the cutting edges of special molds is HRC 55-60, with a deviation of ≤±3 HRC.
Flatness (0.2mm) and perpendicularity (≤0.02mm) are measured using a dial gauge.
Metallographic analysis is conducted on samples to confirm that the internal structure is uniform and free of defects.

SURFACE TREATMENT INSPECTION

Check uniformity of blackening/plating; test adhesion per GB/T 5270 – 2005 (Class 1).
48-hour neutral salt spray test (per ISO 9227) with rust area ≤5%.
Recheck roughness of key surfaces (Ra≤8μm).

COMPREHENSIVE FINISHED PRODUCT INSPECTION

Full-dimension measurement with coordinate measuring machine (deviation 02mm, angle tolerance ≤±0.1°).
Bend 1 – 10mm steel plates; ensure angle deviation ≤±1° and no surface damage.
Verify integrity of laser marking information; full-process records accessible via scanning.

FINAL PRE-SHIPMENT INSPECTION

Package according to export standards, with product info and destination clearly marked.
Recheck 5% of products against previous inspection records.
Attach quality reports with full-process data, complying with import country standards.
Trace unqualified products, implement rework/scrapping, and optimize processes to prevent recurrence.
